The Man Utd striker Wayne Rooney has been embroiled in a form destroying couple of months. First of all it was revealed that he had hired a prostitute while Coleen was pregnant, and then he had a very public bust-up with Alex Ferguson and Man Utd when he accused them of “lacking his ambition”.
Well Man Utd have decided to give him a complete break to help him get over his ankle injury (what ankle injury) and to hide from the media while his head gets back on an even keel.
To that end, he is going to Niketown in the backwoods of Oregon, where it was thought he would be safe from the prying eyes of the media. A United spokesman, Mike Phelan, said: “What we are intending to do with Wayne is send him to Nike Town in the USA for a week’s conditioning training,”
“We have decided, with Wayne, the medical team and the coaching staff that it would be the best thing for him.
“He is going on Saturday and will return the following Saturday. It is a week’s intensive conditioning, under the supervision of our medical team and our sports’ science department.”
Although reporters and photographers are banned from the trip, Just Wags News has managed to get an exclusive picture of his first day living alongside the rednecks in Oregon. Enjoy!
Good post but I think Wayne Rooney really needs to kick up his game a bit. Doesn’t seem like he’s got that many goals in him since his return last month.
