Daniele De Rossi is a top Italian footballer that has spent his whole career at Roma, and was part of the World Cup winning side in 2006.

But he also had one of the best WAGs in Italy, Tamara De Rossi, who he married just before the start of that World Cup.

He also won the Italian Player of The Year award last season, so he’s obviously not a bad player (for an Italian!) But back to his lovely wife. For A WAG, she seems very shy. The new England captain Rio Ferdinand has slammed the influence of WAGs on the modern game, and thinks they only serve to bring the players down, instead of inspiring them to World Cup greatness.

The Man Utd defender didn’t hold back when he exclaimed: “I have no time for WAGs. I don’t like what they have brought to the game. Some women hang around to get a footballer boyfriend.

The England manager Fabio Capello has already stated that he doesn’t want the footballers WAGs disrupting the teams training sessions and game preparations during this summers World Cup, and he is gathering support from the players.

The Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has already spoken out in Capellos defence, and now Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard has also agreed that their wives won’t be around for the all-important group stages.
