The Arsenal striker Carlos Vela and Celtic’s Efrain Juarez have both been banned from playing for Mexico for the next six months after having a celebration party when they beat Colombia in a friendly last month.

Another eleven Mexico squad layers were fined, including Fulham’s Carlos Salcido after the all-night long orgy of drinking, gambling and making merry!

It was originally alleged that the team had hired 14 prostitutes to help host the party, but it has now been revealed that there was a Mexican transvestite present at the party too, and he alleges that he became intimate with Salcido during the evening. ......Read the full article here

Melissa, the wife of Birmingham City star Roger Johnston quite enjoys being a WAG, although she has known her husband since they were ten years old, so is hardly a normal “airhead gold-digger” type of WAG.

The England manager Fabio Capello has told the England WAGs that they are not welcome in South Africa this summer, as his team attempts to mount a serious challenge for the World Cup.

Capello may have shot himself in the foot by inviting David Beckham to accompany the team despite his injury. Of course the other half of the Beckham dynasty, Victoria, will be there to show off her latest fashion accessories.

In a very novel advertising stunt, the Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has manufactured a special “Word Cup Widow Aid” based on the design of the trophy itself.

This is designed to cheer up all the WAGs that have been banned by Fabio Capello from attending the tournament, and will be left at home on their own for the duration of England’s involvement. And of course the millions of “World Cup widows” who will be banned from the TV (and everything else!) when England are playing! The Chelsea defender Ashley Cole proably thinks it can’t get any worse. An ankle injury has ruled him out of the Chelsea team for the rest of the season, a string of women have claimed that he tried to seduce them (and succeeded!), his wife has left him and he is likely to miss the chance to play in this summer’s World Cup.
