Any normal mum to be, especially one that was eight months pregnant, would be at home with their feet up by now but not Victoria Beckham. The 37 year old mother of three has no time for maternity leave as she struggles to look after her boys, make that four with David, and her ever flourishing career as a fashion designer.

Speaking in Britain’s Glamour Magazine she said, “Maternity leave – what’s that? I’ve been working incredibly hard so I’m prepared for next season. Being a working mum is hard – I think women can relate to me when I say it’s like juggling glass balls. My husband and children will always be my priority. Mum to be Victoria Beckham, who is experiencing intense cravings for marmalade of all things during her current pregnancy, is said to be, “over the moon” at the news that her fourth child due later this year is to be a girl.

A family friend told The Sun, “David and Victoria are over the moon. This will be their last child and to be told they are having a girl is the icing on the cake for the Beckham clan.”

Melissa, the wife of Birmingham City star Roger Johnston quite enjoys being a WAG, although she has known her husband since they were ten years old, so is hardly a normal “airhead gold-digger” type of WAG.

But she was a model and an actress before marrying Roger, and actually had a part in the “Footballers Wives” TV show.

The England manager Fabio Capello has told the England WAGs that they are not welcome in South Africa this summer, as his team attempts to mount a serious challenge for the World Cup.

Capello may have shot himself in the foot by inviting David Beckham to accompany the team despite his injury. Of course the other half of the Beckham dynasty, Victoria, will be there to show off her latest fashion accessories.

But this has sparked a glut of other WAGs willing to follow the Queen of the WAGs to the touchline to cheer their fellas on. The new England captain Rio Ferdinand has slammed the influence of WAGs on the modern game, and thinks they only serve to bring the players down, instead of inspiring them to World Cup greatness.
