Gary Lineker’s new wife Danielle Bux is apparently in talks with GMTV to be working on the morning program. ITV have already poached Adrian Chiles from the BBC to front their football coverage, and with the lack of his previous partner Christine Bleakley, they are looking for another WAG to work alongside him.

The England manager Fabio Capello has told the England WAGs that they are not welcome in South Africa this summer, as his team attempts to mount a serious challenge for the World Cup.

Capello may have shot himself in the foot by inviting David Beckham to accompany the team despite his injury. Of course the other half of the Beckham dynasty, Victoria, will be there to show off her latest fashion accessories.

But this has sparked a glut of other WAGs willing to follow the Queen of the WAGs to the touchline to cheer their fellas on. In a very novel advertising stunt, the Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has manufactured a special “Word Cup Widow Aid” based on the design of the trophy itself.

This is designed to cheer up all the WAGs that have been banned by Fabio Capello from attending the tournament, and will be left at home on their own for the duration of England’s involvement. And of course the millions of “World Cup widows” who will be banned from the TV (and everything else!) when England are playing! The England manager Fabio Capello has already stated that he doesn’t want the footballers WAGs disrupting the teams training sessions and game preparations during this summers World Cup, and he is gathering support from the players.

The Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has already spoken out in Capellos defence, and now Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard has also agreed that their wives won’t be around for the all-important group stages.
