Arsenal and Manchester United are not the only the only big Premier League clubs that are still involved in this season’s FA cup. We also have Man City and Chelsea and they are also up against lower league opposition in the fifth round which is being played over the next three days.
So Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte could see their respective sides suffer a giant killing and either of them could be joining Liverpool in taking an early bath, after Jurgen Klopp’s reds provided one of the shocks of the previous round in losing to Wolves at Anfield. ......Read the full article here
Barring a miracle of biblical proportions at the Camp Nou in three weeks time, the Spanish champions FC Barcelona will be making an early exit from the Champions League this season. The Catalan club was forced to leave Paris in disgrace last night after being soundly thrashed by the French champions PSG by 4-0 at the Parc Des Princes.
That scoreline was not flattering either, as the French team was dominant throughout and all over the pitch. It was the Barca keeper Ter Stegen who was their best player as the likes of Messi, Suarez, Busquets and all were anonymous at best and just about as bad as I have ever seen them. ......Read the full article here
There has been no English club crowned as Champions of Europe, in either the Champions League or Europa League format, since Chelsea beat Benfica at the Amsterdam Arena back in 2013 to lift the Europa League trophy. In general the clubs from the English Premier League have done badly in Europe, but that has not stopped the bookies making Manchester United big favourites for the title this season.

There has been a lot of speculation and debate over the last few years concerning Arsene Wenger and whether or not the Frenchman will extend his long reign as the manager of Arsenal Football Club. His current contract is due to run out at the end of this season and with Arsenal all but out of the race for the Premier League title, talk about hi8s future is back on the agenda big time. ......Read the full article here
While the Arsenal WAGs pictured below may well take the chance to check out the shopping, eating out and the sights of the capital of the German region of Bavaria this week, the Arsenal players will have more important things on their minds, such as how the Gunners can upset the odds after being handed an extremely difficult Champions League knockout draw with Bayern Munich.
It is not the normal tactic of Arsene Wenger, but I think that the Frenchman would be delighted to come away from the Allianz arena with a draw, especially a score draw, and after falling into the trap and paying the price of being too adventurous away to Chelsea last weekend I expect the Gunners to set out to frustrate Bayern first and foremost. ......Read the full article here
The WAGs of the Liverpool players are going to be seeing more of their partners than the ones with husbands and boyfriends in the other big Premier League clubs, because the last few weeks have not been good to Jurgen Klopp and his team, as they could not get past Southampton in the EFL cup semi-final and then suffered the pain of losing at home to Wolves in the FA cup. ......Read the full article here
According to a Sky Sports this week, the Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was not best pleased about the revelations about the United and England captain, Wayne Rooney, enjoying a late night celebration after the Three Lions beat Scotland on Friday night.
The United boss was more upset about the fact that members of the England back room staff were with Rooney and that it all became public than he was about Rooney’s celebrating, so I wonder if the Red Devils will be allowed to let their hair down with their respective wives and girlfriends this weekend. ......Read the full article here
We all know that professional football players, or any pro sportsperson for that matter, are not supposed to bet on games in which they are involved. Some do, of course, and when they are caught out there can be some serious repercussions for them, so I wonder how many of them get their wives and girlfriends to do it for them? ......Read the full article here
The annual Brownlow awards ceremony was held in the last couple of weeks, which rewards the fairest and best players to have played throughout the AFL season, and the WAGs of the Australian Football stars stole the show at one of the biggest casinos in Melbourne..
The main event was split into two venues, due to the Sydney Swans awaiting to take on Western Bulldogs later that week, with the Sydney Cricket Ground hosting the smaller event, whilst all the biggest names graced the red carpet at the Crown Casino.

The game that everyone is talking about and looking forward to this weekend in the English Premier League is the first big derby clash of the season. And because the derby is between the huge spenders of Manchester United and Man City and with all the other things like the managerial rivalry adding spice to an already hot looking dish it is no wonder that the eyes of the world will be on Old Trafford tomorrow. ......Read the full article here
