There has been a lot of speculation and debate over the last few years concerning Arsene Wenger and whether or not the Frenchman will extend his long reign as the manager of Arsenal Football Club. His current contract is due to run out at the end of this season and with Arsenal all but out of the race for the Premier League title, talk about hi8s future is back on the agenda big time.
With the panel of football experts on Sky Sports unable to decide whether Wenger will even leave in the summer and most of them thinking it depends on his mood and what happens during the rest of the season, we are all only guessing really and those close to the Arsenal boss think that he has yet to make his mind up, so if you are thinking of betting on it you may be better off having a bash at the slots instead.
If you do want a punt on Wenger’s future or which manager the Gunners will sign to replace him, perhaps the Metro report about one of the candidates will help. The current coach of Borussia Dortmund has emerged recently as one of the favourites, but one of the German club’s supremos has revealed that they have had no contact whatsoever and suggested that Thomas Tuchel will be going nowhere.
Hans-Joachim Watzke said, “It is a fact that nobody from Arsenal called us.
“We’re taking about completely fictional stuff here.
“Some day in May we will sit down and analyse this season.
“He is still under contract here for another year.
“That’s why I don’t understand all the speculation.”
So is Tuchel out of the running?
